101 in 1001

101 in 1001 | Aiane Karla | www.AianeKarla.com

Today, I'm being vulnerable with you and sharing my 101 in 1001 list — 101 goals to accomplish in 1,001 days. My word this year is "intention". I'm working on being more intentional about life and home. So far, I'm learning that intentional living means letting go of fears, living each day in prayerful surrender, not getting too caught up about what others think or say, taking multiple leaps of faith and savoring moments to stop...and smell the lavender.

In Write It Down, Make It Happen, Henriette Anne Klauser explains how the act of simply writing down your goals in life is the first step toward achieving them. Writing can even help you see, process and understand your God-given dreams and aspirations. These past three weeks, I've been writing down my goals on a notebook that goes everywhere with me. The basic act of putting my goals and dreams on paper has been so liberating and inspiring. Being able to see what I've accomplished motivates me to complete the remaining goals.

Blogging about my goals inspires me to enjoy the process and be accountable. It also gives me a sense of community and connectedness — something I value now that we live in the country and don't have friends nearby.

Things don’t always go as planned, and as you can see below, I don't have all 101 goals listed. While I’ll be referring to my list, I’m not going to rely on it for motivation. God’s plans are (and will always be) bigger and better than mine. I will live life, follow where God leads, and see what unfolds. I want to leave room for opportunities and detours God puts in my path, which is why I'm leaving space for new goals and aspirations to be added to the list.

I'll be updating this post each time I add or check-off an item. Goals that have been accomplished will be in that will be in bold links take you to the corresponding post or page talking about how and when I accomplished that goal. I will do my best to share at least one photo for proof.
